Me, at mine - featuring The Cherry Side.
A multidisciplinary designer based in NYC.
Born and raised in Istanbul. I came to New York to start my secondary education in Graphic Design, went on to receive my Bachelor’s degree from SVA in Interior Design, and am currently working towards a Master’s degree from Parsons in Industrial Design.
A turning point in my creative journey was when I was introduced to woodworking through sculpture class in my freshman year at SVA. The realm of 3D conceptualization was quite new to me at the time, however, as my skills and proficiency in creating digital 3D compositions grew, I found myself becoming a frequent visitor of the shop. Letting my hands and touch navigate me through production differed from my other areas of interest and became special very early on. I taught myself shop skills and delved into metalworking soon after. The realization that I was producing and art directing various works, allowed me to confidently navigate through every stage of the design process.
My work lies in its diverse mediums, materiality, and forms. Whether it’s shaping a spatial experience, crafting an object, or designing 2D for screens or print. With a deep passion for innovative design and a keen interest in producing, I immerse myself in the art of creation at every scale.
